Overrun with beasties
What do you cattle people think of her? She is said to be a two year old heifer with a two weeks old calf on her, I'm thinking the calf's daddy was Angus but the lady didn't know. She has a wonderful personality and is already is comfortable with me milking her.
She was born on a dairy farm and raised by a family as a pet, then the very nice people I got her from said they got her hastily and didn't realize she would be so much work and they didn't have enough space for her. Plus, the lady had gotten a new job and didn't have time to milk the heifer. So, whatcha all think!?
ETA: we plan on breeding her to a Jersey bull or artificially breeding her after I decide when I want milk.
Her name is Cherry Pie, baby doesn't have a name.
This pic was at her third home where there six year old daughter could sit and milk the cow! That darn near sold her when I saw this pic!
I let her in one of our hay fields away from our other cattle for now and boy was she happy!
Here's the baby, cute n' all!
