I've been a long-time viewer of this site but just recently signed up. I currently have no herd of my own, but would like to learn more about sheep management and herding for a potential future project. I'm also trying to get a better understanding of long term, grass-based, rotational grazing. It seems to have become a hot topic in my area as of late.

Welcome from Colorado. As you've probably learned, many others here have sheep and can help you.

Greetings and welcome! Glad to have you with us. We recently changed the site and added in a pasture-hay-forages-information-management section. It's still kinda in its infancy so I hope you'll share what you find/learn/develop, as you go along. We all try to help each other here and there's already a great deal of good info shared. Make yourself at home!

Welcome from NW Mississippi!...:frow
We have goats, chickens, ducks, and cats here. There are some really knowledgeable sheep people here that can certainly help ya out with advice for your adventure. Sure hope it works out for ya and you can also get some assistance from your Extension office on pasture building for your locale and livestock grazing it.
Again....:welcome

Welcome from Ohio! I've got a small flock of sheep, and I will eventually have a setup where I can do a version of rotational grazing. Some rotational grazing methods are more labor intensive than I am able to do.

Good luck with your plans!
