New member - & going on a year as a small Ag Homesteader starting with Mini-Herefords with a few bumps along the way
currently we obtained a calf bull in which we already had a cow & her calf. Due to the calf is not old enough yet to breed have another 5 months we have the calf bull separated however he keeps mooing for them since he was able to be with them at the begining for a couple of months. I tried putting the cow with him but that did not work due to it still wanted to be with her calf and the other steer calf. So know this bull calf is by himself mooing at all hours of the day. He has a very well built stall for shelter and hay with fresh water. Currently I am not able to find a cow that is old enough for him to breed with. Any tips

Welcome to the forum. Most bulls have periods of living by themselves. As your herd grows, you may be able to have 2 groups of cows, let him run with one group at a time.

How old is your bull? How many acres do you have, is it cross fenced into several pastures for rotational grazing?
