We got a call a few weeks ago from a lady who got our number from a friend that knew when we can, we take in animals that need a home. She has lupus is selling her home and having to get ride of her animals do to her disease, she had just given her dog to a rescue and wanted to know if we would take her goats and give them a good home. I of course said yes right away. After a few weeks of getting things ready at the new farm we went and got them on Sunday. All I knew was that I was going to pick up two goats, one boy one girl.I did not know what they looked like, what size they were just that they were goats lol.

When we got there she not only gave us the goats but all of their food, meds, extra medical goodies, vet records, milking supplies, 2 bales of hay, her milk stand and their wooden spool they play on. A whole car load of stuff plus the goats. I was shocked!

She cried and gave them kisses before we left, which made me cry it was so sad. Most fokes that give animals up that we come across are a lot less caring. They hand you the critter and pretty much run the other way with little info on it let of loan it's vet records. And you almost never get some one that says well here is the food I have left over to go with it. I would never have imagined she would have give us all her goat stuff even though she would no longer need it. That was not why I said I would take them, they needed a home and I had the space for them. They are so sweet and I am so happy to I was able to give them a new forever home. Here is pics of them.

This is Lil Bud he is a weather, he is a little over a year old. She was told he was a boar, Nubian x but he looks more like a Sannian (spelling?) flop eared x

This is a pic showing her colors, I had no idea what I was going to pick up when I went just that they were goats, I had no idea she would fit perfectly in with our mostly spotted herd

With times hard for a lot of folks, I'm sure the lady that had to give up her goats was comforted to know that they would be well taken care of. Heartbreaking, isn't it? You were blessed with the opportunity to lend her a hand when she needed it as she was blessed in finding you to care for her pets.

If she lives close enough, perhaps you could arrange to have someone bring her fresh milk every week? :hu
