Well I answered an ad on Craigslist for a free pig. I have always (thought) wanted a mini pig. I have meat hogs but wanted something smaller to be my pet. Well I went to visit her she was the sweetest thing, came right up and loved on us and let love her. She was kept in room to herself that let out into a fenced in yard.

WEll that sweet pig has turned into my worse nightmare, she is worse than a two year old child EVER!!!. She attacked my old dog and that is terribly unacceptable as the dog is 19 years old. She has attacked my son, she has destroyed our linoleum she SCREAMS when you try to get her to go outside to her kennel, that she has now destroyed and when you let her out to come back inside she runs like the wind to get away from you.

This is why I am guessing she was free. She has now been put outside in a pen next to the baby goats.. and awaiting her new home, she is going to be in a petting zoo that my friends have don't want her being mistreated at all..

I am guessing if we had gotten her as a baby this experience would have gone much better but I just don't have the patience for all these bad habits the other owners allowed her to get away with.

UGH!!!!

thanks for letting me vent,
Sad in GA

Dogs, cats, goldfish, guppies, canaries, parakeets, hamsters, gerbils and rabbits are pets. Pigs are pigs, and while some may be suitable for pets, most are not. Yours is not the only one that causes problems like this. I've seen a PBP that literally destroyed a whole house, and the owners were afraid to stop it. It finally had to be put down by a police officer because it attacked the elderly owners.

x2

Pigs aren't pets imo.

One of my PBP caused serious injury to 2 horses. Make sure that PBP can't get to those baby goats or it may kill them.

The little piggie went to her new home today to live with three other little PBP. I will stick to my meat hogs they live at the barn and behave themselves.

Good to hear your horrible experience is over. We all try some things that sound good at first, but becomes a mistake. You found a good home for your headache pig with friends. Good for you. :)
