Chillin' with the herd
Hi Everyone,
So yesterday my goat delivered two healthy bucklings. So have been noticing that everytime I go out to the goat area, which is about every hour- two hours, that one of the seems to not be very interested in eating. I have tried to show both of them where their mother's milk is and even gently forced them to try some and both of them did drink saome milk. However I tried to do the same thing this morning and the buckling that tends not to drink didn't (unless he is drinking when I am not looking) but the other gobbled it up. I also tried to feel around the sides of the bucklings and one of them clearly has a larger rumen that is stretching a little bit while the other feels lighter and doesn't have any stretching going on. Oh and mom is letting both of the bucklings nurse so that does not appear to be an issue as much as not wanting to nurse is. I was wondering if I should be concerned about this and if I should what I should do to get this buckling to eat?
