We are trying to trying to determine what breed we want to start out with. I've been reading up on all possible breeds.

Does anyone out there have this breed? Would you recommend this breed to those new to goats? Does their milk taste any different, as I have read it has a sweeter taste?

Thanks.

All of our milk goes into one bucket so I've never tasted their milk alone
(We get 5 gallons a day at times from several does) but for their temperament alone I ADORE the Obs.
We have 2 does and a buck and they're the most polite goats on the place.
The doe who kidded this year didn't even get loud while giving birth!
(We have Obs, Toggs, Nubs, Kikos, Boers, and one Saanen X)
If I had to start over, I'd have ALL Obs...

I have located a 9 month old registered doe for $150. Does that sound like a fair price.

Here are the pics that were on Craiglist.
