Hi, my name is Anna & I'm in South Carolina. I raise working Central Asian Shepherd Dogs for livestock guardians & personal/family protection dogs. My co-breeder also breeds pedigreed spotted Nubian goats as well as a few Saanens. She also raises a couple of steers & a pig each year or so for meat for the family. And naturally we have chickens & guineas running around, as well as pet horses, plus barn cats & pet dogs & cats. She has the "real farm" but I have had chickens & will be getting a couple of goats as well as more chickens very soon. My hobbies include backpacking & hiking & competing in shows & obedience trial with my dogs. In my "day job", I'm a professional dog trainer specializing in family pet manners & obedience. My passion is in educating people about the proper use of LGDs, including helping them select the right breed or breeds, the right breeders, & teaching them how to raise & train them correctly. Above all, I am an advocate for my chosen breed, the Central Asian Shepherd, which is still relatively unknown among the United States LGD community.

Glad to be here!

First of all Welcome to BYH.

Second, I can't wait to see some of your posts and your thoughts on LGD's and how to raise/own them. There are several very wise and smart LGD people on this forum and all seem to have just a little bit of differing views. Looking forward to you and your posts here.
