Omg! What is this?!

i thoroughly clean out my rabbits cages weekly. Take the ‘drawers’ out, spray it with an organic rabbit cage cleaner and spray it with the hose. If they really soil the straw, I replace it every few days. It been blistering hot here lately, mid to upper 90’s. I’m cleaning cages now and I just noticed that blossom has what appear to be skin mites, or walking dandruff, from my online research. Ill be ordering some ivermectin today and it should’ve here Friday. So there’s that. Plus, I found these tiny white worms in her ‘potty spot’ (pictures and videos attached) In addition to the worms, there’s a spot of the cage she chewed on the wood. There are tiny white spots. They don’t appear to move. This chewed wood spot is also in her potty spot, so it’s moist and warm. What in earth is this stuff?! Does blossom have worms? Or is it a bug/fly large/maggot? How do I get rid of it and prevent it from coming back? I’m so grossed out right now and totally freaking out about my rabbits! I haven’t done Boomer or the kits cages yet and I’m all shaken up. Someone please help me!

They are fly larva, or maggots. Not intestinal parasites.

I use hay inside the hutchs for them to eat then play with, we live in a hot damp climate so it gets changed daily, that may help you some to change more often

I buy Seventh Generation disinfectant cleaner and it's made with Thyme oil.
It really helps with the flies and maggots in the rabbitry. I just spray it in trays, under the cages and on the floor.

Any suggestions on the skin mites? It looks like it’s just a small spot between her shoulders. Maybe 1” diameter. There are a couple dandruff looking spots, like 4, that I noticed. Upon inspection, it looks like she’s scratched and has a, well, a scratch. I don’t see any mites, but I’m not sure if I would either? Since it seems to be so minor, is the ivermectin necessary or is there a natural ‘home remedy’ I can try first? I prefer not to medicate unless necessary

I bought a rabbit with mites and I treated with Ivermectin...the horse paste 1.87% in a pea-sized drop.
I gave him 1 dose (pea-sized drop) and then again 10 days later.
But I prefer to use natural methods for everything...if i can.
I had a litter that got mites last month and I treated all of them with Diatomaceous Earth. It actually worked better and faster than the ivermectin.
If you decide to go with that, then buy the food-grade DE and dust them all over with it...just avoid their eyes and nose because it can damage their lungs if you're not careful.
It's best to do it outside to avoid them (and you!) breathing it in.
I'm not sure if you're familiar with DE, but it's tiny shards of shells that dehydrate parasites and kills them. It works!

Perfect! Thank you! I have some food grade diatomaceous earth on hand and I will definitely try that first. Do you think I should treat all my rabbits or just blossom, who I’ve noticed has the mites for sure? Mites are pretty contagious and although blossom and the kits are separated, sometimes I let them all go in the run together

If you go to your local vet they should have a product called Revolution for cats. I am a vet tech and the doctor i work for always recommends this as a once a month prevention of mites and fleas for outdoor bunny's. You just apply it between the shoulder blades on the skin. The dose is by weight. I hope this helps God bless!
