Herd Master
So, Coco's udder really "bloomed" in the last 36 hours. Her 147 day due date was tomorrow, and my girls are good. They always kid one day plus or minus 147 days.
So, we checked her ligs around 1pm and 1 was completely gone, and we could barely feel the other one. We said we were going to move her to a kidding stall tonight.
I was feeding the goats around 6 pm and after I finished, I was watching her, and she looked like she was trying to take a bowel movement and was constipated. Well I went over and checked her and her foo foo was really gaped open.
I went in and told my wife she needed to come check her because I thought she was ready to kid.
I went back out and moved her to a stall. My wife came out and in about 10 minutes she started pushing.
I went in to get the battery operated lantern, and had to put new batteries in it. When I came back out it was quiet, and I said "I missed the first one didn't I ?" Yep. 15 minutes later she had the second.
Two bucklings. I think the good doe to buck ratio we have had the last couple of years may be catching up to us.
The sire is polled, so maybe I'll have two more polled bucklings.
This is her second freshning.
