She said there are almost always bottle babies from first time moms who can't care for triplets, or are having a problem of some kind. (She has a pretty large herd of Boers.) IIRC, She tests every 6 months or whenever a new goat enters the herd, which is rare. We saw her setup and were impressed with the cleanliness of her barns and general health of the herd...and her beautiful Anatolian/Pyrenees LGD who clearly has everything under control!
