Our new little herd

We got our first little herd last night. This is Reese (brown and white) and Buttercup (tan and white). They are so great. Buttercup is a Nigerian Dwarf and Reese is a Nigerian Dwarf Fainting goat mix. I don't remember the actual name of the goat. They are just pets.

Thank you. I feel bad because they just stand on the porch and make noise. I cannot get them to in their pen.

You might be right lol. They are sleeping in the porch. Lol. Crazy. They will fenced in their own area soon enough.

Feed them only where you want to pen them. That way they associate that area with good things, like food/hay and water and want to be in that area.

Right now they are just trying to figure out where all the other goats they knew have gone and why they are alone. Won't take long for them to settle in nicely.

Okay thank you. I wasnt sure what to do since they have just been chillin' on the back porch lol. But I am in the process of fencing off another area where I will keep them at night which will force them to use their pen.

Congratulations! They are cuties. Mine also like to follow me onto the porch whenever they get the chance. They'd come right inside if I let them.
