What do you use to manage pain? Banamine is great however short use is recommended. Other than aspirin are there any other options? I have a 4lb Pygmy baby what would be the dose and how often do you recommend? Thanks David

Ibuprofen(liquid) 2x childrens dose by weight orally (Do NOT use more than 48 hours)

Ibuprofen is every 8 hours.

Asprin can be given every 4-6 hours (I go with every 6 hours).

What's wrong with it?

Pain meds aren't always recommended in animals since they can delay the healing process (since the animal doesn't hurt, it moves around too much).

The little girl Pygmy goat has been diagnosed with joint ill--- so my concern is if she didn't use her leg at least some that the muscles would atrophy----was thinking about using pain relief about half strength of recommended

Elevan, thanks that is what decided to do the aspirin therapy she weighs about 5 lbs so I am using the 81mg strength. Gave her the firs t dose today able to use and put weight on the affected legs but didn't seem to overdo. Able to play some and move around a lot better
