Hello,

Yesterday my dad was mowing the lawn by my rabbits for me, and when I came out about 20 minutes later, I found that one of my bunnies went into a panic frenzy, and had bloodied her face. Her teeth are fine, but one lip is super swollen. Anyways, I went out today to check on her, and she would not stop (literally) bouncing off the walls, and running her face into them. She is normally a super sweet, friendly, and curious bunny, but she is so different now. Any ideas? She won't let me near her or the other bunnies without running her face into the walls. Any suggestions would be helpful.

Do you think the heat and being scared could have given her some sort of brain damage? It was about 102 degrees F.

Thanks in advance!

She got scared and it traumatized her. You came out to her cage during her panic and now she associates it with you. Get someone else to go out to her cage to see if it sends her into a panic. She may be like this permanently.

The mower scared her, she freaked out, traumatized herself, now reliving the fear. Separate her, smaller cage. Cover it partly so she can feel like she can "hide" or give a hidie for her to go into. You might have to train her out of the fear or she might get over it on her own.
