Hello,
I have a late teens to 20 year old mare. When the snow hit, here in Maine, I noticed that when she peed it was pinkish. I don't think that she is in heat, because she is not swollen and she should be done for the year. My friend suggested that it could be that she was eating a lot of the mineral block that I have out, but I put a fresh one out a couple of days ago and it has barely been touched! She also said that it could be a problem with her kidneys, or a urinary tract infection... I have only had her since July so I don't know a lot about her. And she was a rescue so I don't know a lot about her past either... :/ What do you think? Other ideas? Should I just wait to see if the color of it changes?
Thankful in advance for any and all suggestions!
