I am still pretty new to goats so hopefully this is nothing.

I have noticed that during the day my 3 goats are spending a lot more time in their buildings. Granted it has been creeping up into the low 80's since they have been doing this. Our buildings are shaded so they stay much cooler than most of the rest of the pasture.

When I go out to feed they all act normally and are happy to see me. All are eating well (we feed purina goat chow I think... would have to look at the bag for sure... I know it is purina goat somthing, as well as free choice hay, mineral, and baking soda.) I have kept them wormed using ivomec 1%.

Are they just trying to keep cool during the heat of the day or should I be concerned?

Thanks in advance for your help :)

Goats don't like the heat, if they are acting ok and eating well, they are just looking for shade!

Mine are doing the same, even though it's only in the 60's. But they still have their winter clothes on..
