Howdy all! I have a just over seven month old Nigerian Dwarf doe, Liberty, with runny/ weepy eyes. There isn't any goop or scabs or crustiness; just clear liquid running out. None of our other goats have this; she is the only one exhibiting this. She is eating, drinking, going, and chewing cud just fine; her coat is nice and sleek. She has had this since late June or early July. I read somewhere that it could be a symptom of worms, so I dewormed her, but there hasn't been any change. Some days, they are more runny than others. Today was her worst day and nearly through me in a panic since one of her eyes was squinting/ closing shut. At lockup tonight, her eye was open without showing signs of wanting to be closed, if that makes sense. I'd given her two 700mg of echinacea with vitamin c earlier this morning, so maybe that helped? I also gave her a tsp. of raw acv. Does anyone know what she could have? I would love to treat her naturally, if possible. If not, then please let me know what you'd do for your goats. I've attached two photos of her eyes. I'm sorry they're so blurry; I took them with a cell phone. My other cameras are either out of battery or need recharging. The eye in the first photo is the one that was closing up. Thank you so much for your help. I really appreciate it.

Pioneer Chicken; I'm in North Central Texas and have Nigerian Dwarfs and a couple of them have watery eyes... but then so do I. I'm thinking it is the dust in the hay, or something is triggering an allergic reaction. The goats and I just hang in there because the watery eye problem does stop.

Maybe others have some other ideas.

Good luck with Liberty. She sure does have pretty eyes.
