We have called the vet and he is coming, but she is going down hill so fast. My DH went out to feed about an hour ago and found our little 3 day old heifer calf laying down very lethargic, and when he tried to move her, her back legs went spastic. The leg on top starts rolling backwards almost turning her over. I have given her some nutri drench for cows, and made a bottle to see if she would drink. Her nose is very dry, and her momma's bag is really full, I don't think she has drank all day. But she would not drink at all, no sucking reflex at all. Does anyone have any ideas what could be going on or what we could do until the vet get's here? Thanks!!

That's a tough one.

I'm not sure on the nutri-drench for cows, as we have never used it.

If you are familiar with tubing a calf, I would try to get her tubed and some milk/milk replacer in her. Try to make sure she is propped upright when you feed her.
