Exploring the pasture
Hellol
I acquired 2 10 week old doelings 93/4 nubian 1/4 Toggenburg), 2 1/2 weeks ago, they were doing great, healthy, came from a fabulous farm. Dewormed, disbudded and vaccinated. I kept them on the same feeding routine and slowly added in free range as they did not free range.
2 days ago the 2 does ( Winney and Lilly) got out while we were gone, we were only gone for 3 hours, I came home and both girls were by the chicken coop eating the grass and weeds. They did make their way into the coop and ate some layer food, not all but some. Maybe a pound?? That night I did not give them any grain only alfalfa. and they both had 1 tsp of probios. Winney looks fine, but Lilly had pasty poo, and it sticks to her bottom.
They next day my 8 year old let them out and they "feed fed on chicken scratch" (corn, wheat, barley)
Today ,friday, Lilly will not eat! or drink! They have loose minerals, baking soda, fresh water and alfalfa available to them. Winney is fine,( a pig, actually) Lilly bottom is covered in poo. She looks very skinny.
It is now "the weekend" and I do not want to call a vet. I do not know what to do? Any thoughts?? Please help.
