Poisonous plants?

Can sheep eat English Ivy? Ligustrum? I get a lot of conflicting advice on this. English Ivy is on the poisonous plant list, yet I know someone who actively feeds it to their sheep??? If it is in the pasture, will the sheep eat it?

I have come back to answer my own question for anyone else who may be wondering. English Ivy? YES!! They absolutely love it and have effectively removed it from my yard. Ligustrum? YES. They have nibbled off all of the lower leaves and made them rather tree form.

Vinca, No, Choke weed, No and Wisteria, no.
