I brought a doe in from another herd, last spring she developed a lump near her jaw, I chalked it up to a wound or wood sliver, now she has a lump near her flanks, and her udder is completely malformed, she did have 2 kids this summer, I purchased the Case Bac and plan on vaccinating, Do I call my customers that bought the kids and tell them?? What do I do with the doe ?? and do I inform the people I bought her from?? I have never had this happen in 8 yrs of breeding goats........... If I have to cull her how do I do it???

First, it would be better to draw blood and send it to UC Davis. If you are out of state the test will cost you $14.50
This will tell you titer levels and confirm your suspicions.
As far as the kids.... it does not mean they are CL positive.
You should call the breeder and let them know after you have results in hand.

CL is common in the meat goat world and not necessarily a big deal, however I think in the dairy goat world it is a much more complex issue.

Sorry, hope you find out soon.
