I loaned my old buck to a 4h family last year and I may be buying one of the does from those breedings. I'm terribly excited because we lost my favorite baby doll doe to meningial worms in May and then the little doeling that was still born in July.

I loved the looks of my old buck and really wanted to retain a doe from him and my younger doe but she wouldn't take at all. She looked exactly like this little doeling so I'm really looking forward to going to see her.

Her name is Leland which I think is a sign as that is the name of my grandparent's farm. (but I may just be looking for an excuse to buy another goat)

Yep, she's a roan. And she looks EXACTLY like the doe I lost earlier in the year. She passed away about 2 weeks before I got word that this girl may be available. If it all works out the deposit goes down on her on Sunday and if Thelma will finally kid so she can go to her actual home that would be great L. Then we can pull the kids to get them to the family that wants to bottle raise and Thelma can get used to being milked out at her new house and then I have room to bring home a new baby.

She looks better in person. She has a great topline, I checked out mom's udder and it is solid. I owned the buck so I already know his details. She is super delicate and very feminine and has the BEST face. So sweet you just want to give her kisses.

But she was born in early April and she is leeeetle so she won't be bred until next fall. :( Stupid waiting...
