I bought a few potbelly piglets about a month ago. Two are fine, growing like weeds and eating like pigs. But my little female doesn't seem to be getting any bigger and is a little on the thin side now. She doesn't eat fast but is interested in food. I'll try not to be vulgar but I don't know how to describe this. She seems to have a swelling, or knot under the skin, so she has a protruding bump and her vagina is on that bump or the swelling is around and underneath her skin on her vagina. Her vagina itself looks normal, there is no discharge or swelling there. I actually thought I had bought a male pig at first, since it almost looks like testicles forming. I looked up hernias and some look a lot like it but none are in that spot. My concern is she has some sort of internal structural problem that is causing her to not thrive and will need surgery or it will kill her. I'd like to know what this might be before I contact the breeder if she was born with this I think they should take her back and offer me a refund or a replacement piglet, since I didn't buy a rescue pig, I paid extra for a breeding pig. This bump wasn't visible when I bought her but seems more pronounced each day now.
