So I bred my pygmy nanny to a Mini Nubian. That was 6 weeks ago. She has never shown any signs of heat since then. I put a Boer Billy in with my other does and now she is really flirtatious with him but is not showing any other signs of heat. She likes to rub up against him and do a little soft bleat but that is it. Should I be concerned?

What are her normal signs of heat? She may be coming into heat or she may just like this new buck. You could have an ultrasound or blood test done to confirm pregnancy.

Her normal heat signs are discharge, bleating, swelling, and she is standoffish to people. after she is out of heat she loves everyone, she's a big baby

If her heats are different than what she's showing now, then I'd guess she's not in heat now. But to be sure of pregnancy you could do a blood test or ultrasound. Otherwise, it's just a wait and see type of situation.

well I haven't had a billy in with her for awhile, so I just continued with the thought that she was bred. I brought a pygmy billy home yesterday to take care of one nanny that was not bred. he had no interest in her but bred my pygmy 6 times in about 15 minutes. and I mean bred. I finally saw the humped up look everyone told me to watch for when they were breeding!! so I guess we are shooting for late april babies now!!

Check to she if she is bred through blood testing or ultrasound. If she isn't take her out! I have had three problems before with boer/pygmy cross goats getting stuck and dying in the birth canal when the doe is in labor.

2 does have died from this.:hit:hit:hit
