Hi! I just got this Oberhasli goat! Previous owner said she has been in the same pen with a buck from October until now. This would be her first pregnancy. Does she look pregnant? I also will say she looks a little more triangular in person..

Ps. Ignore the garbage piece of fence I need to take down😂

If she is, I'd say she isn't far enough along for me to tell. Teats still small and no swelling (to me) in 2nd pic. I'd also start dumping some grain to her if you think she may be breed.
To me the bagging up and swelling is only noticeable 2 weeks +/- before birthing. Swelling maybe less than a week.

I hope she's bred, but she's been with the buck long enough to have kidded already. I would start to wonder why? :hu
Age????

@Rbuus How old is she. @frustratedearthmother, How old are they when they can breed? I don't remember. I know younger than my Zebu. I know the Zebu's are 3 before they'll mature enough to calve. At least 2 can be 3 before they breed.

Does can be bred and conceive at a very young age. Think months instead of years. I had a friend buy a 8 -10 week old doeling who turned out to be bred. I routinely breed 9-10 month does if they are large enough. I've also had does as old as 12 deliver healthy babes.

That’s what I was thinking, but I’ve never had a dairy goat (only Nigerians) before so wasn’t sure if it was still possible for them to get pregnant after season. Lol

I can’t remember if she said one year, or two haha but old enough im sure :)
Might not be her problem... Has the buck sired kids before?
yes, there was actually another pregnant doe about ready to pop that was bred by him. And there was also a set of kids that were less than 8 weeks old I believe that were his as well. And he was the only buck.
