Hi All,

I'm brand new here, and have two Nigerian Dwarf Doelings about 12 weeks old now, I've had them about 1 month. One has pus in one of her eyes tonight, a fair amount, but I don't see any other sign of inflammation, and she doesn't seem to be uncomfortable or afraid of sunlight. I have a deposit on a young buckling who should be weaned in a couple of weeks, and I'd like this to be cleared up before bringing a newly weaned baby home.

Thank you for any advice you may have.

Welcome to BYH!

Likely it's Pinkeye. You can either use terramycin ointment or drop some LA200 into the eye 2x daily for about a week and that should clear it up.

It also could be a hay poke or something. I would use the terramycin in her eye 3-4 times per day if you can do it. At least twice a day.

Thank you. Is Terramycin available at a feed store?
