Today I butchered a doe that was pregnant then reobsorbed her babies. I know she was pregnant because I palpated her to make sure she needed a nest box. I could feel clearly defined heads so I put in a nest box. After a few day with no delivery I checked her again. The babies felt smaller. After several days I checked her again. I could hardly find anything in there. When I butchered her today her fallopian tubes were filled with white runny stuff. Kinda thick. I am assuming it was pus. What is going on with that? I have had a hard time getting my does to breed for a while now. At first I thought it was due to the hot summer but now I wonder. Any ideas????

Sounds like infection to me. Even if she lost her kids, her fallopian tubes shouldn't have pus in them. Something more is going on.

After noticing pus in the falopion tubes I started checking all of my rabbits for infection/veneral disease. Upon checking my bucks I found at least half of them have "lost" their testicles. I mean there are no external signs of testicles. I know in cold weather they draw them up inside to keep them warm but even then there is a small portion still visible. I had a buck die unexpectedly so I did an autopsy on him. I cut him where his testicles should have been and found them inside his body cavity. Normally the size should have been the size of my thumb but all I found was the size of a peanut (actually not even that big). I bred this individual to several does less than two months ago and have babies from him. Now no testicles???? I have talked to two vets and they insist his testicles never decended in the first place because it is extremely rare for a buck to "lose" his testicles. I know I am not crazy (the testicles were there) because I have been breeding these bucks for several years. The really weird thing is these bucks acted like they were still "all there" breeding does and falling over and all. Just no babies. any idea what is going on?
