I am new to goats ... I recently 'adopted' 2 pygmy goats. They are leash trained and I have started walking them around the neighborhood. Which they (and all the neighborhood kids) love. I would like to take them hiking eventually but I do not know how much exercise is too much? As long as these little guys are in proper health and fitness, how much adventure can they stand in one day? I do not want to over do it.

Build 'em up to the hike... and then I'd say just watch 'em. If they're breathing hard slow down...if you're going to be out a long time bring water. You might even make 'em a little pack and they could carry something for you.

I would definitely build them up to it. Right now we are on night 4 of a nice walk around the block. Which they handle very well. I do not think they are near ready for a hike just yet but when the time comes I will definitely keep a close eye on them and bring plenty of water. Thanks for the link too!!
