Around a year ago I had bought a mini from a breeder as show quality. We also ended up buying her mom as a brood doe. Her mother was a false dwarf (missing only 1/2 of the dwarf gene) and it turns out that the doe we originally bought is too. However, when we bred both of them we got completely different results. The mom had 2 false dwarfs out of 6 kits. The daughter had 4 false dwarfs out of 5 kits. We also found out that the daughter's father was also a false dwarf (missing 1/2 of the dwarf gene). This led us to believe that the daughter of the 2 false dwarfs must be a double false dwarf. Does this mean that she could technically be considered part standard rex? If so, could I breed her to a rex buck? If this is possible, what would the results be?
