I have someone to pull blood samples for me to get my goats tested, but I can't ship them until Monday. The only info I can find says to refrigerate the samples for a few hours and then they are ready to ship, but since I cannot ship until Monday, should I keep them in the fridge until then or store them at room temp?
Thanks!

OK. That's what I figured but I wanted to make sure. Thanks!

What are you testing for? Some compounds break down rapidly in blood, even in the fridge, making the test less and less accurate the longer you wait to send it off. Others are really stable and do fine for days even at room temp. Usually if you call the lab, they can tell you how they prefer the samples to be stored and shipped. Keeping them in the fridge is a good rule of thumb... just don't want you spending money for inaccurate results :)
