I have never had cattle. I was thinking in the future of getting some Dexters.
This is my current goat fence. It is a combination horse fence by Ramm. The bottom 4 strands are electric.
If I don't include the fat top strand. How many strands and what heights would I need to keep in Dexters or possibly a full size steer?

Looks good to me too. I doubt they'd even have much reason to try to get out with all that nice grass they've got there.

The fence as is should work well for you. Don't let the small size of a Dexter fool you into going with a lower fence. We had several that where olympic class fence jumpers.
