Hi!
I just had two gorgeous Nigerian Dwarf doelings born a couple months ago, and their sire is purebred ND, but the Dam is not registered, but still has a pedigree that her grandparents were all registered... Can I register my doelings as experimental? Or something else more formal?
Thanks!

Can you not have her or the kids dna tested? Or once a registration chain is broken there’s no way to fix it?

Otherwise I guess you have to trace back mom and have her registered and then you can register the kids, assuming the sire is registered as well.

If the Dam can be registered through her pedigree register her, after that Is complete register the Doelings based on her newly registered Dam and Sire

The only way to register a Nigerian Dwarf is if both the dam and sire is registered.
The OP said the dam isn't registered, so the kids can't be registered.

So what’s the purpose of the dna testing fee I see then?

If you need to verify who a sire is. Let's say a doe get's in with the bucks and she ends up bred and you don't know who the sire is.

I think ADGA has also put in a new rule that as of a certian date, all bucks DNA will have to be on file to register them.
