I am also a member on Homesteading Today's rabbit board. One of the members
there in Wisconsin has offered to let HT members have breeding pairs of Standard
Rex for $50 (that is half price) if transport can be arranged to get them where
they need to go.

Here is the post...

These are beautiful rabbits that will other wise go to freezer
camp because the market there is so saturated with Standard Rex. Here in SE
Texas, we have none anywhere close by that I can find. I really would like to
have the Chocolate pair she has but I am trying to find away to get them from
Wisconsin to Texas...airfare is just too costly. There is also another Texas gal
that would like a pair or two as well. Can anyone help us to get these rabbits
closer to us? Even if you can only drive a short portion, that would help.
Thanks in advance.

Shannon

I'm not close to, nor do I plan on traveling between either location, but -- there is a Yahoo Group called Rabbit Relay that you might want to check out.

If you know anyone who shows dogs, they travel all over the US each week.
