Yesterday was in the high 50's and today is in the 20's. I went out to give the rabbits fresh water and crocks and 4 of my 5 chickens had left their coop and had dug in under the rabbits. They know that digging down in the manure, straw and hay is a great place to get warm. One chicken had not left her roost yet... she wanted to sleep in. :) Just had to share. I am one of those silly chicken lovers who can't figure out why everyone else doesnt have them.

p.s. They do tend to pick the empty cages to be under, or the front of the cages. :)
You could see the steam coming off the manure pile. The ladies are happy!
