Hi all,
So excited to have found this form! I have been colony raising rabbits 9 months now. Started with two does and a buck; now I have 40 rabbits! Around the same time I stared raising chickens(fyers and hens) as well, both are for a clean meat source for my family. I have been so pleased with my rabbits and have enjoyed them much more than I thought I would.
My herd has been limited to extreme lack of color, with a herd of CA who lost all their white in the heat and NZ, but I have just acquired a Rex and an American doe and a Silver fox buck.
Recently, upsized the rabbit "den" to 12' x 20', have the bucks in elevated cages. Things have been going well but I DEFIANTLY have questions for you more experienced rabbit breeders. I started this adventure with VERY little knowledge of rabbits, which I am grateful- it has caused me to do things a bit differently I am founding out- and excited to have some help. I am also joining this forum to to share what I have learned and observed in colony raising rabbits.
