They pick it pretty clean. I was surprised by that. I'm wasting alot less. But I do want to get a proper feeder of some kind soon.

I rolled a piece of wire that has big holes into a circle and i put the hay in it.

Here in WV it has either been so cold u could barely stand to go out or muddier than all get out! I usually set a whole roll in and keep it covered w/ tarp. And since then I have noticed a better looking herd! During the freezing temps. instead of getting on tractor I decided to rig up something off the ground to put the hay in! I took the medium sized dog crates ( had several laying around) turned longways and zipped tied to a metal fence post in the center of my lot! I sat an old plastic sandbox upside down to cover it and so far so good!! May look like a mess to everyone else but my goaties love it and that is what matters!!!

I will take a pic if u all promise no laughing!! In fact I have a couple buyers coming today and Im a little ashamed ( embarrassed ) for them to see my contraption!! But hey... It works!!
