Neat...how was she a surprise?
We had sold our bull back in August. We hadnt seen any breeding behavior and yaks are so hairy it's close to impossible to tell what's going on.

LOL. I bet all that hair does cover everything up. How long do yaks nurse?

She is getting pretty big....and sadly we haven't halter broken her yet!

Just as long as typical cattle. She is being weaned by her momma right now and doesn't do too much nursing right now

Although her mom is unusually maternal. When she had her last calf, the Hereford looking one in the first picture, she also start nursing her 2yr old bull again.took care of both of them just fine.
