I just had the most horrible thought...trying to dig postholes...in sand.

I'm guessing you'd have to constantly wet the sand to prevent it from simply pouring back in the hole as you dig?

Naef is teasing us again with these BEAUTIFUL goats that we cannot have.

I love the two head butting in the second picture. In the third picture the brown one in front and black one a little behind are my favorites.

They are some beautiful animals! My favorite pics are the 2nd & 3rd ones as well. Yeah, I'm jealous!
I was also just wondering about how they do in the sand (nevermind digging the post holes!)? I imagine that they are acclimated to it, but what are the differences in hoof care? Is the sand really hard-packed?

I am just curious but since that area predominantly looks vast and sandy aka a huge desert.. where are you able to make hay and have enough to bale and have fodder for the year.. those are beautiful animals..
