Loving the herd life
Thanks, all, for your concern and help.
Specifically, can somebody tell me how long it would take for pasteurellosis to kill a rabbit or is that one of those things that depend on the rabbit's general health and resistance to the bacterium?
Likewise, would pneumonia claim a rabbit in a week or two?
I'm not keen on the idea of dropping excessive money into a vet bill only to determine that the animal will have to be put down or, if saved, would be useless to me as a breeder or a threat to my herd. Nor do I want to see an animal suffer needlessly, either. Under these circumstances, how long would you continue hoping for a recovery before giving up and euthanizing?
