I hauled the turtles 2 miles away.
Buford has an almost brindle tail, is developing a light brownish patch on his back over his hind legs and has a blue undercoat on his belly. I want a brindle female, who of course has to come from working lines, strong conformation and sensible. Sensible—to counteract Buford’s goofy.

Another turtle morning! I’m really tired of stupid turtles. Sentry patrolled the outer fence, was satisfied that no predators sneaked in last night and went to the shade tree. NOOOOOO!!!!!! A dastardly turtle was under the shade tree and Sentry had a meltdown. I scooped it up in a bucket and turned it loose on my way to town. That’s 3 in 3 days.

It’s been so hot and humid. Sentry stopped eating so I’ve been bringing him in the house during the day again. He goes straight to his crate and sleeps. I let him go out several times a day, offer him water and started feeding him inside. Then outside to potty and he’s at the back door wanting back in. I was afraid he was going into another spell of illness, but he seems to be ok. He goes back outside in the late evening for the night.
This is one spoiled dog. ❤️❤️❤️

I bring Sheba and Buford to the front yard in the heat of the day. They go under the porch where it’s cool.

My cats hide out under trailers! Couple in the barn. Chickens...browse in cool of morning, hide under bushes in mid day. Goats do barns, sheds, shade of trees, etc. I make sure there's plenty of fresh, well-water-cold water!!! Tonight's rain cooled things just a little 👍 goats do heat ok...I run fans in barns just to move air.

In your roof pic, there the sheep were - laying in the shade of a tree, out in pasture. ☺️

And it's all we can do.
