#8 ewe has a limp in her front right leg. It's been there for a few weeks, gave some aspirin, helped for a few days, but it's back. No other symptoms, she also doesn't put much weight on it. I can't see or feel anything wrong with it and she doesn't mind me messing with the leg...
Ideas?

have you checked her hoof... parhaps they need a bit of trimming or maybe something is stuck. Can`t imagine that there would be a rot issue with such dry weather everywhere

When mine limp it's usually hoof or foot related - check the hoof - trim if needed. Also check out the space between the hooves - they can get something poking them in the flesh, or get cut or an infection. Also check to make sure no wire or anything is around the foot, etc.
Feel the foot and hoof and compare it to the one on the other side - is it hotter, more swollen, etc? These all can be clues.
Good luck :)

If it doesn't rain later today, I'll go out to trim them. Though, when I was out a few min ago...the shears vanished again...too many critters being nosy around here...

It's crazy how often sheep need their feet trimmed! Just as much as horses...what the heck? How do huge sheep producers keep up?

We only trim once a year during shearing. I did trim my sheep's hooves and put them in a foot bath before I put them out on my pasture, though. If hooves are overgrown a little, it's okay as long as they're not limping or having a hard time moving around.

As for your ewe, feel her leg, make sure it's not hot or swollen or anything. Right now one of my ewe lambs isn't walking normal (her knees feel swollen/filled with fluid) and it's been going on for a week without any improvement. I did check her temp, it was elevated, so I have her on Pen G now.

There is a gland that is in the hoof than can get infected. Happened to one of my ewes this year. It is pretty rare but that is why mine was limping. Look for a whole on the front of the hoof right above where the two points of the hoof meet. You have to pop that gland like a pimple. Some waxy looking liquid should come out. It can be painful for the sheep but the next day they can walk again. Don't press to hard if nothing comes out... It can be hard to find the gland just keeping pulling the back the fur on the foot until you find it.

Kind of hard to explain exactly. Hope that helped
