Here are a few pictures of some of the goats that we took to the fair.

Overall we did pretty well, placing more in the top half than the bottom half with a couple of 3rd places. We had a great time and the goats stayed fairly healthy, A couple of them did come home with a small cough.

One of my son's show wethers.
89lbs, born in Feb.

This a percentage doe. She is being shown in a 6 to 9 month old class. She is only 6 months and 2 weeks, so she was a little young for the class, but still did pretty well.

this is a fullblood doe that showed in the 3 to 6 month old class. I love this doe and can't wait to see what she does for our farm. She didn't stand real well at the show, she kep hunching up and acting all nervous.

And this is another doe we showed in the same 3 to 6 month fullblood class. She was a little smaller and younger so didn't do quite as well as the above doeling.

thank you, The judge said, "This doe is a powerhouse, just too small to place any higher in the class today." That was quite a compliment. She does dip a little bit after the shoulders, and the judge didn't miss that. Said he would be really excited to breed her to the right buck and see the offspring. She placed 6, in about class of around 15 does, and she was one of the youngest. All the does that placed above her were almost 9 months old. Hopefully Prooved It will be that right buck. And if not him, hopefully she will give us several years to give us chances to find the right buck.

I am hoping to get pictures soon, but I heard that one of Goldman's kids won champion Light weight at a different fair than ours. And there was 90 goats at the fair. And their other goat placed 2nd in his class in a heavy weight class, that wether was out of Twister. Heck they did better than us. I need to find out what they were feeding. :) I hope to get pictures from them soon. And will share them with you all.

Just found out that we had the Overall Grand Champion market goat at the Louisa County Fair here in VA. Not a real big number of goats, but it is always good to do well.

I am still waiting on pictures from the other people. I am sure I have crossed the line from being pateint to being a pest, asking for photos.

While we wait I will post their pictures of them younger.

Reserve overall grandchampion at the Highland county fair in WV.
