Small breed of goats

Hello ya'll I looking into get me a few goats for da mini farm for me and the grandchildren to enjoy as pets only , not for milk or meat but just as pets and maybe for breeding from time to time along with the Chickens -Turkeys and Rabbits and Ducks and Quail & Pheasents ...

Anyway which is the smallest breed of goats should I get ,the pygmy Goats or the Nigerian Goats ....

I'm looking for the kind of breed that you would see at the Petting Zoo's ..... the potbellie goats that are about 24" tall at shoulder high and with a potbellie .........I thing there the one's that are call the pymgy goat ...... am I correct ................I looking for the smallest of the smallest breed of goats ............

Since Nigerian Dwarf goats are dairy goats, they don't get as wide as the Pygmies but they are about the same in height. Either would be fine for your purpose but if you possibly be interested in milk, then you would want to go with the dairy breed. I would just make sure anything you buy is disbudded so there is no chance of your grandchildren getting hurt with horns.
