I got a rabbit, took FOREVER to get the "pedigree" from the "breeder", what I have is handwritten, with Lionhead pedigree marked out, over it says, Holland Lop Family Tree :/ I'm new to all this, but all my other rabbits, I've got moms, dads, I've got greats and everything. FULL Peds. I am told this is a second gen rabbit, this family tree has his dam and sire and him....................................................Explain to me his use with my fully pedigreed rabbits. I was told I breed him to a fully pedigreed bun they are fully pedigreed.......he is my first rabbit bought on the terms of a2nd gen ped involved. In the long wait of getting that "ped." I obtained fully pedigreed rabbits all paired and would like to fit him in but if there's no reason , well then there's no reason. HELP ME cause I feel suckered with him. And I know I was put off with excuse after excuse just to get this family tree :he Thanks for the input on this.

If you breed this bun to one of your fully pedigreed does, all the kits would have only a "partial pedigree". Those kits could be bred to a fully pedigreed bun and the resulting kits would have a full pedigree. So, it would take you two generations to get fully pedigreed kits from this rabbit.... :hu

Well good deal, cause I want to get some broken blacks from him, if I got them. Not as bad as I was thinking. :thumbsup Thanks.
You are welcome! The thing to remember is that "full pedigree" means that you have a record of three generations back from your rabbit, dams and sires. So, parents, grandparents, great-grandparents. Anything less is a "partial pedigree." Just learned that myself recently.
