I had a black Satin buck that was terribly spoiled. If I walked past his cage without opening his door and petting him, I got sprayed. I moved him from the front to the back and made sure I opened his cage and lavished him with attention when I was in his corner. Then he was satisfied and I could do my work without smelling like a pee post.

Yes, spraying is a buck thing. Can you move him so he is in an out of the way spot to diminish your being his favorite pee post?

LOL This thread is cracking me up! Fortunately the buck I am getting doesn't spray. lol

The buck that sprayed me didn't spray his previous owner either but apparently he wasn't to fond of me & seen fit to let it fly in my direction.... you're not the only one who found humor in the situation, all my buddies at wk thought it was hilarious

LOl Baymule-good idea!

Ebers- Hope he doesn't turn on me! lol. Well, she said he has never sprayed before...but he only lives with one other doe, in sperate cages-of course!
