OK, so last year we started or first steer. We bought a 3-4 day old bull calf, and we have started the butchering process. I am guessing (no scales, no proof) he was around 1000 lbs hanging weight at 16 months.

He was mostly pasture and hay, some soy hull pellets and some fodder. We got to the ribeyes tonight while butchering. I thought a pic might help you all understand how well I ate tonight.

Bet you did eat well tonight and how great to know what you fed your own homegrown beef! No pic showed up though.

Still waiting on some steak pictures. Reading your post, it sounds like you are butchering yourself?
