I want to raise a pig for roasting on the fourth of july, i want it to be about 75 lbs dressed, never raised pigs before, ive got goats, and chickens, and getting sheep, ducks, geese and turkeys this year, so a couple pigs isnt much more of an addition. LOL. But im curious when i should buy them, how old should they be to get that weight. I want two, one for the 4th, and one for freezer camp.

If you get a modern, commercial breed (Yorkshire, Hampshire, Duroc, Poland China), and feed it a good, well balanced commercial ration, I would guess that a pig born around the first two weeks in May should fit. Other breed, or feeding different, I have no clue.
