Hey Yall!
My ram (who is quite the piggy) had swollen ears. I noticed he was in the barn yard while the ewes wandered out to pasture. Not the norm!

I went out to give him some love and noticed his ears are swollen and warm to the touch. Any ideas?

My first thought is photosensitivity, but it could also be another kind of allergy, bee sting, etc. You can try to put him in a stall in the barn, give hay, give benadryl if you think it's needed, and see if he improves after a few days.

Thanks a bunch! I saw your post on the subject and kind of assumed the same. We put him in the barn and he seems to be better, though still a bit lethargic. Not always heading out to pasture with the ewes. We are keeping a close eye on him.

Thanks for responding!
