When a doe comes into heat, if the bucks are only on the other side of the fence, will she go over, turn around, wag her tail and let the bucks sniff and luck her hind end??? For hours....? Then when the buck is introduced with her, she does the same thing, and "talks/barks" at him and pushes and shoves him until and while he does the deed? The buck does his normal male deal, pawing, snorting, and mounting and breeding, but also makes that funny barking noise almost sounds like a human.
Also, how many attempts does a buck really need to help pregnancy %. like stay with her for a few days or just 30 minutes if he is actually connecting? Just trying to learn this. Thank you for all the help.

I leave the doe with the buck until he covers her three times, then remove her back to her pen.

Wow that is so quick! So if she stands and let's him mount her in an open pasture, odds are she is in heat. I will say other mature does just ran from him that I guess were not in heat. Then a few days later one that wanted nothing to do with him did the whole teasing through the fence deal, so I put him together and she stood let him breed. That's cool that I might actually have babies now. Thanks for the replys!

Just mark the calendar and watch her for signs of heat in 18-21 days. Then you'll know for sure (mostly!) when she is due. Congrats!
