My husband and I moved to Uruguay, South America coming up on two years ago. My name is Elisa and my husband is Fabio. We have a pair of milking cows and 14 sheep, two horses, As well as geese, ducks, and chickens. We brought one cat with us from the US, and we have since added four kittens and two dogs to our family. Last year during lambing season we took in six orphaned lambs to bottle raise. Despite having no clue what we were doing, we managed to raise four to maturity. We have very kind and supportive neighbors. This year we’ve taken in four so far and I have already lost one. It breaks my heart to lose one, especially if I feel someone with more experience could have saved him. I search for any information I can find that might help me raise healthy animals and I liked the forum and the wealth of knowledge you have among members, so decided to join.
